Understanding the financial requirements of small businesses to develop and progress, the federal government is offering helping programs in form of subsidized loans and grants to business owners. These government loans and grants have helped many establishments to flourish and contribute to the economy’s growth. Following are some of the government programs that work towards the small business development:

Grant program for rural businesses includes Rural Economic Development Loans and Grants and Milk Income Loss Contract Program: These programs of government loans and grants are specifically designed to take care of financial needs of rural small businesses. The former program offers grant loan for small businesses at no interest with the grant amount being $200,000 out of a loan of $450,000. The maximum period allotted is 10 years. This program is available for the for incubation projects, start ups as well as for feasibility studies. The later financial aid program offers investment amount to rural diaries. There are many other grants programs that offer financial support to commercially operative dairies in the US.

There are aid programs of government loans and grants for women. Billions of dollars have been allotted for women entrepreneurs for their business start up or expansion plans. These financial aids are also made available to women interested in doing home based business like tutorial schools. The government also has special programs for disabled women who wish to start their individual business venture. The main aim of all these grants and loans is to assist women to become independent.

With the aim to promote growth of all types of businesses, the government is offering programs of ‘Direct payment for specified use’. These types of programs act as motivational and inspiring factors that encourage individuals and private enterprises to engage themselves in some productive activity. The amount is provided to the individual person or firm that is declared to carry out the stated business activity.

Apart from these, there are several other government loans and grants programs that are helping individuals to make their mark in the business world.
